Dynasty Stomatology is a modern multi-profile dental clinic at Plzeňská 3384/21, Praha 5-Smíchov. The clinic accepts patients every day from 8:00 to 20:00 without breaks — one of very few Prague clinics with such hours. Founded in 2025, within two years it built a base of 2,000+ patients and a Google rating of 4.8 from 472 reviews, one of the best results among private dental clinics in Prague.

In orthodontics, the clinic offers a full range: metal and ceramic braces, clear aligners, retainers, bite correction of any complexity, and pediatric orthodontics with treatment available under nitrous oxide sedation or general anesthesia. In-house X-ray and 3D CT eliminate referrals to other facilities — full diagnostics and digital 3D treatment planning happen on-site the day you visit.

The only Prague clinic with 4 service languages: English, Czech, Russian and Ukrainian — no interpreter needed at any stage of 12–36-month treatment.
12–24 month installments with no hidden fees: braces from 21,000 CZK can be split into equal monthly payments — the price is fixed in the contract before treatment begins.
No Czech health insurance required: critical for Ukrainian refugees, recent immigrants, tourists and expats without VZP/OZP.
Microscope-guided treatment & digital 3D planning: CAD/CAM technology, in-house 3D CT and digital smile modeling — all in one visit, no extra referrals.
Dynasty Club program: bonuses for every visit redeemable for discounts — valuable during long-term orthodontic treatment.
For anxious patients & children: nitrous oxide sedation and general anesthesia treatment — stress-free throughout the entire course.
Branch in Kraków (Poland): convenient for patients living between both countries or entering via the Polish border.

What is orthodontic treatment?

Orthodontic treatment is a branch of dentistry focused on correcting tooth position, fixing bite and normalizing the relationship between dental arches. The main goal is to create a functionally correct and aesthetically appealing smile that is easy to clean and puts no excessive strain on teeth or joints.

Who needs it
Crowded teeth, incorrect bite (deep, open, crossbite), gaps between teeth, speech disorders. Treatment is suitable for children from age 7–8 and adults of any age.
Treatment methods
Metal & ceramic braces, clear aligners, removable plates for children, lingual (internal) braces. Method determined by doctor after 3D diagnostics.
Treatment duration
From 6 months for mild cases to 3 years for complex ones. After braces or aligners are removed, a retention phase follows — wearing retainers to maintain the result.
What happens at the first orthodontist visit
Clinical examination of the oral cavity, assessment of bite and tooth position, ordering X-ray and 3D tomography, taking digital impressions. Based on the results, an individual treatment plan is compiled with method, timeline and price.

Braces vs. clear aligners — which to choose?

Braces
Fixed appliance
  • Effective even for complex cases and skeletal issues
  • Work continuously — don't depend on patient discipline
  • More affordable: from 21,000 CZK
  • Suitable for children and teenagers
  • Visible when smiling
  • Harder to clean teeth — special brush required
  • Dietary restrictions: avoid hard and sticky foods
VS
CLEAR
Clear aligners
Removable clear tray
  • Nearly invisible — ideal for adults
  • Removable for eating and brushing
  • More comfortable: no sharp edges or brackets
  • Digital result planning available
  • Must be worn 20–22 hours per day strictly
  • Less effective for severe bite problems
  • Higher cost: from 30,000 to 150,000 CZK
How to choose? The choice depends on case complexity, lifestyle and budget. The orthodontist determines the method after 3D diagnostics — don't make this decision on your own.

How to choose the right orthodontist

Orthodontic treatment lasts from 6 months to 3 years. A wrong choice of doctor from the start means not only lost money, but also time and dental health. MUDr. Petra Horáčková compiled 8 criteria that truly matter.

01

Specialization specifically in orthodontics

Orthodontics is a separate specialization requiring dedicated postgraduate training. A general dentist who "also fits braces" and an orthodontic specialist are fundamentally different levels of competence. Ask whether the doctor holds an orthodontic diploma and how many years they have devoted exclusively to orthodontic practice. Ideally — at least 5 years of specialization.

02

Mandatory 3D diagnostics before starting treatment

Seriózní klinika nikdy nenabídne plán léčby bez panoramatického RTG, telerentgenogramu (TRG) a v případě potřeby cone-beam CT (CBCT).

03

Transparent written treatment plan with fixed price

Before signing a contract, you must receive a detailed treatment plan: diagnosis, chosen method, estimated timeline and full price broken down by stages. Avoid clinics where the price "clarifies along the way" or depends on "unforeseen circumstances." A good clinic fixes the final amount in the contract and does not change it during treatment — this protects you legally.

04

Language of communication — a detail that matters

Orthodontic treatment requires dozens of visits over 1–3 years. Misunderstandings about instructions — how to wear aligners, what to eat, when to come — directly affect the outcome. If the doctor doesn't speak your language and the "interpreter" is a friend or Google Translate, the risk of communication errors is very high. Choose a clinic where staff genuinely speak your language.

05

In-house diagnostic equipment on-site

A clinic with its own X-ray and 3D CT saves your time and reduces the risk of data loss when transferring between facilities. If every new scan requires a referral elsewhere, planned visits turn into a city-wide quest. In-house CAD/CAM equipment also means orthodontic appliances are made faster and more precisely — no waiting for an external lab.

06

Real reviews and before/after photos

Read reviews on independent platforms: Google Maps, Expats.cz, Bookimed — not just on the clinic's own website. Pay attention to reviews mentioning specific doctors, timelines and treatment details: they are far more informative than generic "great experience" comments. Before/after portfolios with genuinely complex cases indicate a doctor's confidence in their results.

07

Availability and easy booking throughout treatment

Orthodontic treatment requires planned visits every 4–8 weeks. If the clinic only works weekdays 9:00–17:00, this creates real difficulties for working patients. Find out: are evening hours available, does the clinic work on weekends, how easy is it to reschedule. Appointment availability isn't just a convenience — it's a direct condition for sticking to the treatment schedule.

08

Terms for emergencies: breakage, urgent visit, relapse

Before starting treatment, find out: what happens if a bracket breaks or a retainer comes off? How quickly will they see you? Is it covered in the contract price? A good clinic clearly describes these scenarios upfront and won't leave you alone with a problem at an inconvenient time. Emergency appointments and a clear warranty policy are signs of a mature clinic.

Editor's tip: before your first visit, prepare a list of questions and ask them at the consultation. A good orthodontist will always make time to answer — that's part of the job.

Frequently asked questions

Orthodontic treatment is the correction of tooth position and bite using special appliances: braces, clear aligners, retainers or removable plates. It is indicated for crowded teeth, incorrect bite (deep, open, crossbite), gaps between teeth and speech disorders caused by dental defects. Treatment is suitable for children from age 7–8 and adults of any age — orthodontics has no age limit.
Braces are fixed metal or ceramic brackets bonded to teeth and connected by a wire. Clear aligners are transparent removable appliances, nearly invisible when worn. Braces work continuously and are especially effective for complex bite issues. Clear aligners require 20–22 hours of daily wear and are less effective for severe skeletal deformities. The choice of method depends on case complexity, age and lifestyle — the orthodontist will determine this after 3D diagnostics.
Treatment duration depends on case complexity. Mild bite issues are corrected in 6–12 months, moderate cases in 12–24 months, and complex cases requiring bone remodeling may take 2–3 years or more. After the active phase comes the retention phase — wearing retainers, which may last several years or permanently to prevent relapse.
An initial orthodontic consultation is recommended at age 6–7 when the first permanent teeth erupt. At this stage the doctor can identify emerging problems and if needed start early treatment with removable appliances. Main braces treatment begins after most permanent teeth have erupted — usually at age 11–13. Adults can start orthodontic treatment at any age in the absence of active periodontal disease.
Dental implants do not move under orthodontic forces — they are rigidly integrated into bone tissue. This must be taken into account when drawing up the treatment plan. Crowns and bridges also limit tooth movement options. Nevertheless, orthodontic treatment with prosthetic restorations is possible — the doctor will adapt the plan to existing limitations. In many cases, orthodontic preparation is done before implant placement to create optimal space in the dental arch.
The standard diagnostic protocol includes: panoramic X-ray (orthopantomogram), cephalometric radiograph (TRG) for facial bone analysis, intraoral X-rays, face and teeth photos, and digital impressions or plaster models. In complex cases, CBCT (3D CT) is also performed. Based on this data, the doctor compiles an individual treatment plan.
When properly performed, orthodontic treatment positively affects dental and gum health in the long term. Aligned teeth are easier to clean, reducing the risk of cavities and periodontal disease. Bite normalization reduces stress on the temporomandibular joint and prevents enamel wear. A rare complication is mild root resorption — monitored with regular X-rays.
The total cost of orthodontic treatment consists of several components: initial diagnostics (X-ray, 3D CT, digital impressions), the appliance itself (braces or a set of clear aligners), planned check-up visits throughout treatment, and retainers at the end. Metal braces in Prague are on average 20–30% cheaper than ceramic or sapphire ones; clear aligners are the most expensive option for extensive corrections. Many clinics offer installment plans to spread costs over the treatment period.:
Before your initial consultation, it is recommended to get a professional cleaning and treat any cavities — orthodontic treatment cannot start with active inflammation present. If you have previous dental X-rays, it is useful to bring them. The doctor will perform a clinical examination, order the necessary scans, take digital impressions and compile an individual plan with price estimate and approximate treatment timeline.
Bone graft and sinus lift are surgical procedures mainly associated with implantology, not classical orthodontics. In orthodontics, surgery is used for severe skeletal bite defects — orthognathic surgery alongside orthodontic treatment. The need is determined by the doctor after TRG and 3D scan analysis.
Sedation (nitrous oxide) and general anesthesia are used for anxious patients, children and complex surgical cases. In orthodontics, sedation is most common for mini-implant placement. Fitting braces or issuing aligners does not require anesthesia — these procedures are painless.
